What we look for. . .

CONTRACT OR DIRECT HIRE · PRINT + DIGITAL

The role we fill more than any other. Our clients need designers who can take a brand they did not build and make good work inside it, fast. Some weeks that is a full campaign concept. Most weeks it is layouts, resizes, presentation decks, email templates and print files that have to be right the first time.

These roles come to us in every shape. Some are short-term contract to cover an overflow, some are long-term embedded seats, and some are full-time openings a client wants us to fill permanently. We place junior designers all the way through creative director level, and we are as interested in production-strong designers as we are in concept people.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • A portfolio that shows range inside someone else’s brand guidelines, not just personal projects
  • Comfort with print production and digital, or real depth in one and working knowledge of the other
  • People who ask good questions up front instead of guessing and redoing
  • Clean, organized files. Our clients notice and they tell us.
  • Steady under a tight turnaround without getting precious about feedback

TOOLS WE SEE MOST   Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, PowerPoint and Keynote.

AI SHOWING UP IN REQS   Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Figma’s AI features. Clients are asking how designers use them, not whether they do.

CONTRACT OR DIRECT HIRE · CREATIVE OPS + DIGITAL

When a team has more work moving than anyone can track, this is the person they call. Sometimes the job is creative traffic across everything at once: scoping, scheduling, routing work, chasing approvals, keeping designers and writers unblocked, and telling people the truth about a timeline before it slips. Sometimes it is narrower and deeper, one person assigned to a single product launch, one client account, or one department’s roadmap, owning it start to finish.

We fill this across digital project management, creative operations, production management, program management and producer roles, on both contract and permanent searches. Scope varies more here than in any other role we place. Some clients need someone juggling twenty small jobs, others need one person carrying a single complex program for a year. Tell us which one you are better at, because we are hiring for both.

These roles tend to stick. Once a team has someone holding the process together they do not let them go, and a good number start as contract and turn into an offer.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Someone who has actually run creative or marketing work, not just tickets
  • Calm, direct communication. Half this job is delivering unwelcome news early.
  • Comfort in at least one work management platform and the flexibility to learn another
  • Agile, waterfall or somewhere in between. Most of our clients are in between.
  • Enough design and production literacy to know when an estimate is wrong
  • Resource and capacity planning experience if you have it, since that is what most teams are actually missing

TOOLS WE SEE MOST   Asana, Monday.com, Adobe Workfront, Jira, Smartsheet, ClickUp, Notion, Airtable, plus Float or Resource Guru for resourcing.

AI SHOWING UP IN REQS   Asana AI, ClickUp Brain and Notion AI are now built into the platforms, and clients expect you to actually use them for status rollups, briefs and risk flags rather than writing all of it by hand.

CONTRACT OR DIRECT HIRE · SOCIAL + SHORT-FORM

Social has outgrown the person who used to do it on the side. Our clients need someone who can own the whole channel: the calendar, the content itself, the community, and the numbers at the end of the month. That includes short-form video, influencer and creator coordination, and the reporting that proves any of it worked.

Some of these roles are strategy and calendar only. A lot of them are hands-on: you are shooting, cutting and posting. We want to hear from you either way, and especially if you do both. We fill these on contract, contract-to-hire and permanent.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Accounts you have actually grown, with the numbers to back it up
  • Native fluency in short-form video, not just static posts
  • Judgment about brand voice and when something should not go out
  • Practical AI skills for ideation, captions, editing and reporting
  • Comfort being the only social person in the room

TOOLS WE SEE MOST   Scheduling and analytics: Meta Business Suite, Later, Metricool, Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Dash Social. Creation: CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, TikTok Creative Center.

AI SHOWING UP IN REQS   Descript and Opus Clip for cutting long video into shorts, AI for ideation, captions, alt text and first-pass edits. This is now part of the job, not a bonus.

CONTRACT OR DIRECT HIRE · DEMAND GEN + AUTOMATION

The seat clients backfill most often, and the one where the skills have moved fastest. A marketing team loses someone or takes on more than they planned, and they need a capable operator who can pick up campaigns, email, nurture flows, web updates and reporting without a long ramp.

What separates the people who get hired quickly: they can build and run the machine, not just brief it. Demand generation, marketing automation, lifecycle and attribution. Titles vary a lot here, marketing manager, marketing coordinator, marketing program manager, marketing operations, demand gen manager. If you do the work, we want to talk regardless of what your last title said.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Hands in a marketing automation platform, building the flows yourself
  • Demand gen experience: campaign to lead to pipeline, and the reporting in between
  • Results you can point at, not a list of activities
  • Enough analytics to defend what worked and kill what did not
  • Willingness to own a channel end to end when the team is short
  • Comfort using AI tools for research, drafting and reporting

TOOLS WE SEE MOST   HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable, Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, Asana, WordPress.

AI SHOWING UP IN REQS   AI for segmentation, subject line and copy variants, lead scoring and reporting. The platforms all ship it now, so the question in interviews is what you have actually shipped with it.

CONTRACT OR DIRECT HIRE · PRODUCT + DIGITAL

Product and digital teams bring us in when they need design capacity, sometimes to cover a gap on contract and sometimes to fill a role for good. The work runs from flows, wireframes and prototypes through to polished UI inside an existing design system, and often includes the research and the microcopy that go with it.

We also place UX writers, who are worth calling out separately. If you write product copy and think in flows rather than paragraphs, there is steady demand for you.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Case studies that show your thinking, not just final screens
  • Fluency working inside someone else’s design system
  • Enough research practice to validate rather than assume
  • Accessibility as a habit, not an afterthought
  • Comfort collaborating with engineers and handing off cleanly

TOOLS WE SEE MOST   Figma and FigJam, which is now effectively the standard, plus Maze or UserTesting for research, Storybook and Jira for handoff. Some teams still run Sketch.

AI SHOWING UP IN REQS   Figma’s AI features, AI-assisted prototyping and research synthesis. Worth being able to talk about where you let it help and where you do not.

CONTRACT OR DIRECT HIRE · B2B, MARKETING, UX

Our writing roles tend to be longer and more embedded than our design work. Think a benefits communications writer inside an HR team, a B2B copywriter getting fluent in a technical product, or a UX writer working alongside a product pod on microcopy and flows.

We place across marketing copy, brand voice, long-form content, email and campaign work, on contract and on permanent searches. The clients who hire our writers usually keep them, so we look for people who want to get deep in a business rather than bounce between one-off briefs.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Samples that show you can pick up an unfamiliar voice and hold it
  • Willingness to learn a complicated product or industry and write about it credibly
  • Strong self-editing. Clean copy in the first draft saves everyone a round.
  • Comfort using AI as a drafting and research assist, and judgment about when not to
  • SEO fundamentals are a plus, not a requirement

TOOLS WE SEE MOST   Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Figma, WordPress and Contentful, HubSpot, Asana or Jira.

AI SHOWING UP IN REQS   ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini are assumed at this point. Clients are less interested in whether you use them and more interested in where you draw the line.

CONTRACT OR DIRECT HIRE · EDITING, MOTION, CAPTURE

Video is the fastest growing part of our book. Our clients are producing more internal and social video than ever and most do not have the in-house capacity to edit it. The work ranges from executive and employee communications, to social and short-form, to motion graphics packages and animated explainers.

Some of this work is edit-only, some is full service including shooting on site. Several of our clients run a returning seasonal video team, so the right person can come back year after year to the same seat, and a few of those have turned into permanent roles.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • A reel that shows finished, client-ready work, not effects tests
  • Editors who can also handle motion graphics, or motion designers who can edit
  • Solid audio instincts. Bad sound kills more videos than bad picture does.
  • Cutting for different aspect ratios and platforms without being told
  • On-camera and lighting experience if you want the shoot work too

TOOLS WE SEE MOST   Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Audition, Cinema 4D, Frame.io, CapCut.

AI SHOWING UP IN REQS   Descript for transcript-based editing, Opus Clip for repurposing long video into shorts, Runway and Adobe Firefly for generative fill and extension, ElevenLabs for voice. Clients are asking about these by name now.

CONTRACT OR DIRECT HIRE · PREPRESS + DIGITAL PRODUCTION

This is the work that keeps a brand shipping. Building out campaign assets across every size and format, prepping print and packaging files, retouching, versioning, managing the asset library and catching the mechanical problems before a vendor does.

It does not get the credit that concept work gets, and our clients are constantly short of people who are genuinely good at it. If you are fast, meticulous and you like a clear brief, we can keep you busy.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Real prepress knowledge: bleeds, color spaces, trapping, imposition, press-ready files
  • Speed with accuracy, in that order only once accuracy is proven
  • Templating and versioning instincts that save the next person time
  • Packaging, retouching or digital asset management experience is a plus
  • Comfort taking direction from a spec sheet rather than a conversation

TOOLS WE SEE MOST   Adobe Creative Suite, Acrobat Pro, Figma, Esko or ArtPro for packaging, Bynder or Widen for digital asset management.

AI SHOWING UP IN REQS   Generative fill and expand for resizing and extending assets, plus AI tagging in the DAM. It is speeding this work up rather than replacing it, and clients want people who know the difference.

CONTRACT OR DIRECT HIRE · STRATEGY + EDITORIAL

The step up from writing. Our clients bring in content strategists when they have more channels than people and no clear plan connecting them. You are auditing what already exists, building the plan and the calendar, deciding how everything gets organized and labeled so people can actually find it, setting the voice, briefing writers and designers, and making the case for what to stop doing.

Most of the time you are building the whole thing rather than executing someone else’s outline. That is exactly why these turn into standing seats. Once the strategy exists, the client wants the person who wrote it to run it. We fill them both ways, contract and permanent.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Work that shows a strategy, not just a portfolio of published pieces
  • Comfort auditing and reorganizing content someone else built
  • Editorial judgment plus enough SEO and analytics to defend decisions
  • Practical AI skills for production scale, and a clear view on where the line is
  • Ability to brief and direct writers and designers, not just do the work yourself

TOOLS WE SEE MOST   Contentful or WordPress, Airtable, Semrush or Ahrefs, Google Analytics 4, Asana, Figma.

AI SHOWING UP IN REQS   ChatGPT and Claude for research, briefs and production scale, plus answer engine optimization as search shifts toward AI-generated answers. Clients are actively hiring for people who understand that shift.

CONTRACT OR DIRECT HIRE · PAID, SEO, ANALYTICS

The fastest growing corner of our clients’ marketing budgets, and the hardest for them to staff. The work covers paid search and paid social, programmatic and retail media, SEO and increasingly answer engine optimization, plus the measurement that ties spend to results.

Clients come to us for this when a channel needs more attention than the team can give it, or when they want to build in-house capability alongside their agency partners. Either way the work is accountable to a number, so expect to be asked good questions about performance in your first week.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Budgets you have managed and the results you got, specifically
  • Hands in the platforms, not just oversight of an agency
  • Real measurement chops: attribution, incrementality, clean reporting
  • SEO and AEO knowledge alongside paid, since clients increasingly want both
  • Marketing automation or lifecycle experience is a strong plus

TOOLS WE SEE MOST   Google Ads including Performance Max, Meta Ads Manager with Advantage+, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, The Trade Desk, Amazon Ads, Google Analytics 4, Semrush, Looker Studio.

AI SHOWING UP IN REQS   AI already runs much of the bidding, targeting and creative rotation on these platforms. The skill clients are paying for now is knowing what to feed it, what to fence off, and how to read what comes back.

AI VIDEO, SHORT FORM SOCIAL, QUICK TURN

This is one of the newest roles on our clients’ creative teams, and it’s growing fast. The work is video made with AI tools, including AI generated characters and presenters, built mostly for short form social. It usually comes in fast, with tight deadlines and a scope that changes from week to week.

Clients come to us for this when their in house team can’t keep up with video requests, or when they need someone who already knows the tools and doesn’t need time to ramp up. The work often starts small and grows once the team sees what’s possible. It suits someone with flexible availability who likes jumping in quickly and can handle a scope that’s still taking shape.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR
– A portfolio of AI video work, especially AI characters or avatars
– Short form content built for how each social platform actually works
– Speed without sloppiness, even with very little notice
– Comfort working on your own with light direction
– Experience in public affairs, advocacy, or communications is a strong plus, since messaging accuracy matters

TOOLS WE SEE MOST HeyGen, Synthesia, Runway, Google Veo, Sora, Kling, ElevenLabs, Midjourney, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro.
