Leading patient advocacy organizations collaborate on important new resource
Living with wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) poses some difficult challenges, but a new free resource called “My Home in Sight Kit” can help make adapting the living space easier.
Prevent Blindness has joined with five other patient advocacy organizations* to share valuable advice based upon five key principles:
- Color and Contrast
- Low Vision Tools
Inside each kit is:
- a safety checklist
- suggestions about six things one can keep doing while living with wet AMD
- a helpful guide with room-by-room suggestions
- an interactive audio guide
- hands-on tools to help with applying apply the five principles
*This project has been a collaboration of Prevent Blindness (Living Well With Low Vision), Macular Degeneration Support, SupportSight, Bright Focus Foundation, Lighthouse Guild, and Macular Degeneration Association, with funding provided by Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation.
